Boom, Seriously

“You don’t REALLY blow up rockets, do you?”

Well as of Friday, no longer, no. But for the past eight years, you bet.

BITFU: Blow it the {expletive deleted} up.

And notice the little rocket in the gator’s mouth. Isn’t it cute!

  5. Embar says:

why does it have a crocodile on it?
and what is the crocodile holding in its mouth?

  6. Gimmlette says:

Embar, the croc is native to Florida. I remember the tour guide the only time I went to Cape whatever it’s called now, telling us not to stray off the groomed grassy areas.
And Daniel said that’s a rocket in it’s mouth. It’s a patch so the detail isn’t quite there.
I would imagine there are natives with stories of feeding the crocs firecrackers.

  7. kunukia says:

What? /confused. This was a patch you got working for NASA? A joke, huh?
It’s OK, I am usually out of it.

  8. AJ says:

Not sure if you can/are willing to tell us this, but were you the one that actually manned the switch and/or made the decision to BITFU?

  9. Hannah says:

    Awesome patch. :)

  10. John Oliver says:

Of course that is an Alligator, not a Croc tho’ both are native to Florida, only one have won multiple national championships.

  11. kunukia says:

Ahh yes! Before I retired and moved to United Space Alliance (across the river) I was an Air Force Maintenance Controller for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Space Launch Squadrons. Also worked in 45 OSS doing Ops status report and Sitreps. I’m very familiar with ROPS and BITFU! Good luck in your new job!

“Executioners of Erratic Flight” had me giggling like a madwoman.

Plus, alligators = awesome. Alligators + rockets = EPIC awesome.

  17. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and appreciate finding out much more on this subject. If feasible, as you gain knowledge, would you thoughts updating your blog with a lot more details? It’s very helpful for me.

  18. Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for newbie blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
