DADDY IT’S MY SUBMARINE THE TOOTH FAIRY GAVE IT TO ME IT’S MINE!
Well, I’m just going to play with it for a while.

The 100lb puppy of love comes bounding with his red, seat-belt-cloth Frisbee. Sammy starts playing with his sub, the puppy drops his toy, and looks at me. His look says:
Daddy. THAT. Is the greatest dog-toy EVER!
Puppy, that is not your toy.
It’s a dog-toy Daddy. Look, it moves! I gotta have it!
It is not a dog-toy, it is a submarine. Not for you.
DOG TOY!
Puppy jumps in to get it, the boy makes it dive.
DADDY THE PUPPY CAN’T GET THE SUBMARINE ‘CAUSE I MADE IT DIVE! HAHAHA!
And for the next hour, puppy tries to get the sub, my son teases him by driving the sub right where the puppy can see it, then when the puppy jumps in the pool, he makes the sub dive.
HAHAHAHA!!!
Daddy. I want my dog-toy. Gimme the dog-toy. It keeps going down, I keep swimming, I never get it. I don’t understand.
HAHAHAHA!!!
And then, somehow, puppy got the sub.
WWAAAAAAAHHHH!!! DADDY PUPPY GOT MY TOY!!! BAD PUPPY!!
Daddy. I got it. Dog toy. Mine. Now I find out what’s inside…
WAAAAAAHH!!
Are there treats in here?
WAAAAAAHH!! DADDY PUPPY IS CHEWING MY SUBMARINE!!
Al.Right! Sub to the boy! Toy to the puppy! Both of you, to your corners!

It’s 6am where I am atm and i’ve been at work since 16:30 the previous afternoon, I finish work in 2 hours, feeling glum I check my RSS, you’ve made my day!
I’ll be going to bed at 08:30 thinking of teasing puppies with a submarine!
Oddly, my 2 year old daughter has the same mentality as Andrew’s dog. If it moves, it’s hers. Drives my 4 year old nephew nuts, he hasn’t been able to play with a hotwheels car since we moved in here.

Actually years ago my dad had a dog, a golden retriever mix, who WOULD dive for toys. I spent many a summer day tossing rocks and other sinkables into the Potomac River and would watch her do her best imitation of a bottom-feeding duck while she searched around for what ever I’d tossed in.

My dogs wont go near my pool or the river, I have to toss the toy poodle in to get her to swim and my black lab wont go near either. Who ever heard of a lab that doesn’t love the water O.o

Once again Daniel, an amazingly well written entry, as everyone else has said, this made my day when i read it. Keep up the good work, hope work and family shizzle is continuing to be awesome for you, they are very lucky to have you and the WoW community still mourns a great loss, however as I and pretty much everyone else said at the time.. you DEFINATELY made the best descision, and this entry is simply another clarification of this

You need to find you one of those little remote copters for your son. Get him interested in your work with a toy aircraft. That and give your dog a workout unable to reach it.

LMAO that is awesome!!! Kid has toy. Dog wants toy. Kid teases dog with toy that dog wants but can’t have. Dog finally gets toy. Kid cries. Parent separates the infants, sends them to their respective corners where they glare at each other over their shoulders while parent begins binge drinking….I think they need a manual about parenting that starts like that.
And please guys..stop begging Daniel to come back to WoW. He’s gotta get HIS life in order right now. Its not up to you to decide it for him. Give him a break and just enjoy the wonder that are his blogs…and brain..(gotta give credit where credit is due!).
Oh man I hear you there. I have two German Shepherd puppies and think everything is their toy. Including the two cats. If they move the dogs leap for them and try to find out what’s inside. It’s crazy keeping my house sane I tell ya.
