Well, there’s the Dolphins, the Bucs, and the Jaguars. Those are the professional teams.
WHAT’S A PROFESSION TEAM DADDY?!
You know how Daddy goes to work to make money? Well professional football players play football to make money.
DO ALL FOOTBALL PLAYERS MAKE MONEY?!
No, some of them are college players. They play because the love the game.
WHAT ARE SOME COLLEGES DADDY?!
Well, I don’t watch college football, but I think the major football teams in Orlando are the Golden Knights, the Gators, and the Seminoles.
THE SEMINOLES SUCK.

Btw, Daniel, I forgot to mention in my last post…I am going to be in Orlando for a couple of weeks looking into a possible job relocation with my company! Given your new “status”, I say we hook up for a couple of adult beverages!
Dangit all these stories are making me want kids, don’t wanna go through the first 2 years of it, can I buy yours? lol. That’s really awesome and as mentioned by Trixie it’s really great that these posts could be sort of memories. You and your son are truly blessed to have each other. Great postings…..I’m a freaquent visitor…rarely post…but, my lil man is 2.75….3 in Feb….and I’m just starting to get some of thos egreat phrases…the looks ( he winked at mom yesterday!!), so I know what’s comin’ is going to be awesomness too!
What inspired me to post is the comment by Trixie….about the “footprints”…..my father had made several tape recordings (reel to reel) of me talking when I was an itty bitty….he also would write down my phrases…even my made up lil kid songs on any scrap paper he could find. When he visits he invatriably will bring over some lil tidbit of my youth…..a phrase….an old drawing……lol, even old report cards. When your lil dude gets bigger and matures out…starts getting ready to have a family…….he is REALLY going to appreciate these “footprints”……it will give him a looking glass back to when thing s were oh so simple!!!!!
You are a very fun writer to read, I truly enjoy yours posts……life changes all the time…..for all the bad…good shows up soon….we live in a world that balances. So for all the most recent drama-sucky parts of life, keep an eye open for the greatness soon to come!!

A couple of years ago UCF dropped the “Golden” from their name and now are just the Knights.
Its funny how, despite living in Orlando, we hear a ton about the Noles and Gators and so little about the Knights. Fame comes from success.
And I’m not a college football fan either, but like your son, my kids favor the Gators, conditioned by friends and family.

And it is entirely likely his teacher is a Gator – there are a lot of them around here, especially teachers.

It’s amazing the stuff kids pick up. This summer my son was in t-ball. One night at dinner, we mentioned something about the Chicago Cubs, and out of the blue our son says, “Hey Dad. Sox rule, Cubs drool.” My wife, a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, just about fell over.
Being the humble Gator fan that I am >_> it’s good to see the boy is getting a fine Florida education! Noles do SUCK!
Very funny. I’m an Eagles fan personally but I rooted for them last night. Polamlu is still a ridiculous player and hopefully he’s not out for long.

Isn’t it interesting to see how our kids can be so easily influenced by their teachers or peers? I’m from Ohio, there’s a big college football rivalry with Michigan.My kids would come home and and trash talk the Michigan football team.. even though they don’t even like football, and have never even BEEN to Michigan. *rolls eyes*

Having been raised in Florida, I can totally relate to this. I had a “Gator” teacher, and while I dont recall much bashing of the Sems, our school had a huge lunchtime argument about the upcoming Gators / Bulldogs game. Good times indeed.
I hope your not one of the dang flip flop fans, anyway your son got it right, we seminoles suck, and this year gators will be the first to go back to back and start and end at #1. Not to mention making the noles go /facepalm on the way.
