My oldest does things like that as well but is too much of an attention whore to hide them. She’s started writing short stories though and those she sometimes hides. I’ve blubbered over a few of those and have a refrigerator covered in little sweet mementos like the ones you’ve shared.

I don’t remember if I ever did that as a kid, but I know as a parent now, it makes it all worth while.

As a fellow father of 7 yr olds, I share in your joy at finding these. Little things like these are what help me realize that no matter how harshly I may scold them for not doing homework/cleaning their room, etc., and how bad I may feel at the time for doing it, that parenting done the right way is all about the ends justifying the means.
(I hope I never have to teach my kids grammar as I am pretty sure the above is epic fail on the grammar scale.)

WOW those are so sweet. It is definitely blanket fort/ice cream/favorite movie night worthy. Dune Buggy the next day and Vegas the day after that =)

Save those Daniel, because as I found out way to soon he will grow up and it’s hard to get those then. Not that he won’t love you but, well it’s just not cool anymore. Fight it as long as you can though….
