I need a 1GB stick of PC2700 DDR 200-pin RAM for a friend’s PowerBook G4. Does anybody have one lying around they don’t need? I’ll trade you for my Chicken Marsala recipe!
I like mine over pasta, but you can cook rice or even little roast potatoes with this. Little roast potatoes… mmmm.
4 chicken breasts
1/2 cup marsala wine
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp chopped shallots (you’ll find them in the onion section in a little baggie)
8 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup chicken stock
2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Trim the fat from the chicken breasts, pound em to an even thickness, rub salt and pepper on them, dredge them in flour, shake off the excess, put them aside.
Heat the extra virgin olive oil on medium in a large non-non-stick skillet until the oil’s surface shimmers. Add 2tbsp of butter, let it melt, put the chicken in for 3 minutes, keep checking that cooked side so it doesn’t burn. Turn, cook for 2 more minutes. Remove the chicken, put on a paper towel-covered plate.
Add 2tbsp of butter, melt, add the shallots, let them cook for 2 minutes. Scatter the mushrooms, keep them spread out, cook for 3 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste, (taste it!)
Add the marasala wine, raise the temp to med-high, let it boil for 3 minutes or the sauce seems a slightly syrupy.
Add the chicken stock and remaining butter, bring to a boil for 3 minutes or the sauce is reduced by half.
Add the chicken back to the sauce for 2 minutes, flip them, cook for 2 more minutes.
Add the fresh parsley, serve over warm pasta.
You can substitute veal, turkey, or pork in this recipe, too!

mmmmmm
I don’t have one of those sticks but I think I’m going to try to make that tomorrow!
Check out Other World Computing. They are one of the best.

I’m thinking he will have 100′s of those RAM sticks in his mailbox later this week. He can corner the market and become a RAM Goblin in the Ebay auction house.
So…if we make the chicken marsala without giving you a gig stick, does that mean we just stole it?! If it does, I’m admitting guilt here and now.
I thought it was going to be tikka masala, I should read more carefully.
Anyways this sounded tasty aswell but I’d prefer it with rice.
Sorry no stick but i’m stealing the recipe anyways
Just the way us Canuk’s are
For a second I thoght you wanted to make a trade on the NFL draft.
I’m with Paytn…I sorry but I am stealing that and will probably make it tomorrow, sounds super yum!
Sorry, no stick, but thanks for the recipe! I’m lvling me cooking to 425 on this one recipe.
Daniel,
Don’t have any spare RAM, but I bet you can get it for a decent price at crucial.com, dont know the exact model your looking for but the price I initially found is ~$55. Depending on how good a friend we’re talking, that might be your best bet. Good Luck!!!
Sorry man, the only spare RAM I’ve got is desktop size. Maybe check out Pricewatch or something?
Newegg.com has 1GB sticks of 200-pin DDR 333 (PC 2700) for $40+shipping: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010170381%201309121113%201052907864%201309221120&name=DDR%20333%20(PC%202700)
Mwahaha, now I have the memory AND the recipe! Avast!
You blew your culinary wad a little early on that one, Dan-The-Man. Handing over the recipe goodness prior to receipt of the desired memory was a bad business decision for sure. Apparently the final frontier does not a good negotiator make.
Do you “substitute veal, turkey, or pork in this recipe,” for the muck-rooms? other than the fungus it sounds pretty good!
Got all the stuff last night for this. Paid $17 (!) for 4 organic, cage free chicken breasts. I think they said the chickens died from too much freedom.
Even got marsala wine. $6 for a pretty big bottle. What is this stuff? Is it drinkable? Lucky this recipe wasn’t invented in the US or it would be called chicken rotgut.
Doesn’t quite have the panache of chicken marsala.
Hope it’s good. And hope I get lucky if you know what I’m sayin’.

Didn’t you know? He withheld the secret ingredient that makes it the best chicken marsala in the world…….he’ll only reveal that to the deliverer of his RAM
OK “we” made it last night. I kind of mostly watched with a glass of wine I just couldn’t seem put down. I searched the kitchen high and low but no meat mace so my wife used a rolling pin. That and the wine were pretty amusing.
It was to die for. Only wish there was more sauce. Next time we’re going to double the sauce part. And you can never have too many mushrooms.
Totally awesome. Hope you got your RAM stick or whatever.
I wish I had a stick of memory for you, because I just made your chicken marsala and wow. Shallots aren’t ready yet, so I used chives which are. And reconstituted home grown shitakes. I may have reduced the sauce a smidge too much. Thanks for the recipe. Just amazingly delicious. Thank You Kindly.
